Our Mission;

    Through the ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems, and by focusing not only on business results but also on how these results are achieved, our mission is to take measures that protect the environment and human health and to provide a safe working environment in all our activities, products and services, from material procurement to product shipment.

Our Goal;

    Our objective is to eliminate negative impacts on the environment and human health and to ensure occupational safety in all our activities, products and services, in line with the needs and expectations of our customers and society, as well as the quality policy of KDS Pres Döküm.

 Environment & OHS Policy

    It is fundamentally based on respect for the environment and people.

Our Environmental Policy;

•    To identify environmental aspects, determine the types and harms of environmental impacts, and take the necessary measures to prevent environmental pollution,

•    To review our management system and environmental performance in detail each year at the regularly held Management Review Meeting in order to ensure the continual improvement of our system; to identify areas for improvement and take appropriate measures in a timely manner; and to review our established objectives and targets each year and evaluate progress,
 
•    To provide our employees with a healthy, safe and clean working environment and to place waste bins at easily accessible points for all employees for the wastes generated,

•    To use a Waste Management approach in accordance with legal regulations, where the primary priority is to prevent waste generation, and, where waste generation cannot be prevented, to choose other options by following the steps of the waste hierarchy,

•    To regularly check and improve the Waste Management Plans established with the objective of “Reducing Waste at Source”, then implement actions to reduce waste and minimize its impacts, and finally ensure the disposal of all our solid, liquid and gaseous wastes by following the appropriate methodology,

•    To collect recyclable wastes generated in the Zero Waste Area established within the scope of “Zero Waste” and then send them to licensed waste collection centers for reuse and recycling,
 
•    To identify in advance air emissions that may arise from our activities and then ensure that the environment is protected and emissions meet the requirements of national and international legislation by implementing appropriate planning, engineering and reduction activities,

•    In today’s world, energy has become a fundamental human need and necessity on which our lives depend. Due to the increasing global population, our planet’s current condition and climate are under very serious threats, while the need for energy increases day by day. As KDS, we are aware that we must take great responsibility regarding climate change and, especially, leaving a better and more livable habitat for future generations. With this awareness, within the scope of the environmental management system, to monitor our greenhouse gas emissions that may arise from activities, calculate our annual carbon footprint in accordance with international standards, and carry out activities to minimize greenhouse gas emissions,

•    As a company, being aware that energy management is one of the most important factors in carrying out our business, to provide the necessary human, technological and financial resources for the efficient use of energy and the reduction of our impacts on the environment,

•    To implement the most efficient energy systems applicable in all processes, analyze the existing system, evaluate efficiency improvement opportunities, and integrate appropriate improvements,

•    Believing in the philosophy of “Water is Life” and complying with all necessary national regulations, to do our best to protect natural water resources,

•    To monitor water consumption by recording the amount of water purchased and discharged, and to evaluate opportunities to implement appropriate procedures to reduce water consumption and increase water recycling/reuse,

•    Within the scope of the Regulation on the Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals, to obtain a “Chemical Registration Certificate” and “Material Safety Data Sheet” from supplier companies for all chemicals used in production,

•    To have noise measurements carried out at regular intervals inside the factory and to keep noise exposures within the factory under control,

•    To use recyclable aluminum materials due to our company’s process requirements,

•    To fulfill our legal responsibilities regarding the protection of the environment and nature and to implement the applicable legislation in force in our country,

•    To participate in the activities of official and private organizations related to the environment, to conduct continual audits, and to keep our activities open to audits by relevant interested parties,

•    To announce and publish our policies to our employees, customers, suppliers and all other relevant interested parties, and to raise environmental awareness among interested parties,

•    With the awareness that we have borrowed the environment we live in from our children, to accept continual development and improvement compatible with the environment in the planning and implementation of all our processes as a social responsibility,

•    Within the scope of energy management, to increase the use of renewable energy sources in order to contribute to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, to evaluate feasible renewable energy investments and supply models, to monitor renewable energy usage rates, and to continuously improve them,

•    Within the scope of our activities and supply chain, to avoid practices that may adversely affect animal welfare, to comply with applicable legislation and internationally recognized animal welfare principles, and to expect our suppliers to act in accordance with these principles,

•    To take into account the impacts of our activities on biodiversity and land use, to avoid practices that may cause deforestation, to implement planning and practices that reduce environmental impacts, and to comply with relevant legal requirements,

•    To prevent the uncontrolled spread of chemical substances and wastes into the environment in order to prevent soil pollution, to identify risks that may adversely affect soil quality, and to take necessary preventive and corrective measures

We commit to the above as our Environmental Policy.

    
OHS Policy; 

•    To comply with all national and international Occupational Health and Safety legislation,

•    To create a healthy and safe working environment for both employees and the environment by minimizing occupational accident and occupational disease risks with a proactive approach,

•    To ensure that hazards are identified in advance and eliminated by performing timely and accurate risk analyses,

•   To ensure the effective participation and consultation of employees and employee representatives in the identification of hazards, assessment of risks, planning of preventive actions, incident/accident investigations, and continual improvement activities within the scope of the Occupational Health and Safety Management System,

•    At the workplace and its extensions, to take all kinds of measures in accordance with applicable OHS legislation and other OHS-related requirements in order to ensure the health and safety of employees, subcontractors, visitors and our company personnel working outside the workplace; to provide tools, equipment and Personal Protective Equipment and ensure their use when necessary,

•    To train our employees in a way that improves their knowledge of occupational health and safety and environmental awareness, and to repeat these trainings periodically to ensure that they reach a sound awareness of occupational health and safety and environmental protection,

•    To make KDS Pres Döküm San. Tic. A.Ş. a model company in terms of OHS practices before the institutions, chambers of industry and associations to which it is affiliated,

•    To carry out studies to measure and improve the performance of the OHS management system,

•    To follow technological developments in Occupational Health and Safety and direct our investments accordingly,

•    In product design and production processes, considering the effects of selected raw materials and technologies on the environment and people, to ensure the health, safety and social well-being of employees at every level, visitors and subcontractors/contractors, and to reduce any potential future material and moral losses to themselves and their families,

•    To ensure the continuity of our OHS Management System, which has been established and is being implemented in this direction,

•    To carry out emergency planning and take all possible measures,

•    To take measures appropriate to the hazards specified in the “Material Safety Data Sheet” in cases where chemical substances are stored and used,

•    To take necessary measures against the occurrence of fire or explosion and to raise awareness among employees by providing training on the relevant subjects,

•    To inform employees about the ergonomic conditions that must be observed at the workplace and to take the necessary measures in terms of ergonomics,

•    To comply with all internationally recognized human rights standards set out in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the ILO Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work,

We commit to the above as our OHS Policy.

    The strongest evidence that these principles, which KDS Pres Döküm has instilled in all its employees, are effectively implemented is that the company holds the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System, ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System and ISO 50001 Energy Management System standards, in addition to the ISO 9001 Quality Management System and IATF 16949 standards.

    These principles shall be announced to the public through all means of communication and shall be open to public opinion.
Management shall follow up on the implementation of the environmental and occupational health and safety policy and objectives to which it has committed.

    In this regard, we commit that we will continuously continue our efforts to ensure a healthy working environment in our operations.
